I was born in 1953 in Duesseldorf, Germany where I still live and work today.
As a child I spent a lot of time drawing and later on painting and sculpturing.
But when I was about 19 years old, I made my first more playful steps into photography – with remarkable results after a while.
As a photographer I am self-taught. In the early 8o ́s I established my own studio working as a free-lance photographer for the advertising business – mainly fashion and beauty productions at home and abroard.
But also from the beginning and increasingly I did my personal projects which became more and more important to me and today are my main field of work.
I am mostly dealing with the human body, with the triad of body-mind-emotion in particular. For me, the body is the shell of the soul and it is this that I try to explore, as it lets me get close to the human being as a whole.
Moreover I have a weak point for picturing three dimensional statue-like bodies in whole or part.
