Lynda Fay Braun holds a MFA from Cornell University. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is in many major and private collections throughout the US. Braun’s mentor was the great contemporary artist Agnes Martin, who is well known for her minimalist grid paintings and drawings composed of horizontal and vertical lines. Originally a painter until just a few years ago, Braun is basically a self taught photographer. She attended a workshop at the Santa FE Workshops with John Paul Caponigro in Photoshop. Braun’s photography is included in such prestigious venues as Duncan Miller, Santa Monica CA, Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, CA, and “Serenity” at LA Photography. Most recent her work was included in an exhibition at The SE Center for Photography called "Color" juried by Diane Bloomfield.
Ms Braun is preparing a solo exhibition at Big Arts Cultural Center, Sanibel Island FL which will feature her 'digital paintings" that span the years from 2016 to present. The opens in October'22 and will remain on view until July '23
Her work were used as the basis or a program initiated by Annie Storr, art historian and professor at Brandeis University "Art for the Quiet Eye"
Her photographs were featured at Rookery Bay Estuary Research Center Art Gallery. for an “Honor the Estuaries” exhibition. Ms Braun resides in
Naples, FL drawing inspiration from the light that is so special to the
area.
