About Mia Dudek

Mia Dudek is a Polish artist based in Lisbon whose practice is directly influenced by mass housing constructions and the global phenomena of urbanisation. She explores existential encounters of the body and the alienation of the individual within urban fabrics. Dudek graduated from the London College of Communication in 2012 and completed her MA at the Royal College of Art, London in 2016 as a recipient of a Leverhulme Scholarship Award for her distinctive portfolio. She exhibited around the world and been featured in publications, including Source Magazine, LYNX Contemporary and 24 Artists to Watch by Modern Painters, December 2014, and a recent ArtForum Critic’s Pick for her Marsyas exhibition in Istanbul. Her self-published book MDAM has been selected for Anamorphosis Prize and is now in MoMA Library Collection in New York.
