In the wake of 9/11, I left New York City and found myself in Cambodia beginning a new life, ultimately swapping one career as a neuroscience researcher for one in international development. Much of this new career has focused on research in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) issues, including family planning and HIV/AIDS. Photography has been integral in my life since I was a child and it was natural that I used the medium to inform assessments and chronicle the places and people I worked with.
