Monta Kurme is a new photographer based in Riga, Latvia.
Recently graduated from contemporary photography school ISSP Latvia. Working with photography and graphic dedsign for approximately 5 years now.
Monta has taken part in 3 exhibitions in the last 3 years - 2 group exhibitions - ISSP graduate group exhibition ""Šis nav veikals" (Not a store) 2021 and group exhibition "Es nākšu rīt" (I'll come tomorrow) 2020 and 1 solo exhibition Untitled 2018.
Her work is about the process of making an image, she's keen to experiment, mix media and find alternative ways to tell a story through photography.
Nature is a big part of her work - as inspiration and as medium.
