More than ever, conversations are turning around the future of our planet. What can we do to change the destructive spinning spiral of the eco-system? Our artistic vision is an approach to awaken sensitivity to the over consumption of earth’s natural resources. We have started this artistic project wanting to find a way to give everything on the planet an equal value. In art history, throughout time portraits of underprivileged humans or in the contrary powerful people have had a central stage in order for us not to forget their existence. But today, with the society of consumption and fast fashion, over production and indulgence, people have not yet had to think of the consequences that this will have on our natural resources as well as animals and humans. Now it is no longer possible to turn the eye from the suffering of nature. It is these conversations that made us want to work together, finding a way for an aesthetic representation for the importance of making a change. We wanted to capture an image of movement invisible to the eye. The abstraction through the motion that we capture we find to be a powerful way to represent that nothing is constant and being a bystander in the negative transformation of the planet should no longer be an option for any of us. The Spinning Nature project is a series of portraits in movement of subjects that we are taking for granted today but without a transformation in how we move forward and change we will wake up tomorrow without a possibility to getting them back.
