PUNCTUM

Photography for me is an instant of Revelation. It demands devotion, you have to reveal every inch of your soul to get to the true artworks. My interest in photography appeared as a passionate desire for self-expression and authenticity. I believe that the best way to come closer to a person's soul is to strip away all the artifice. I love black and white photography. No color makes a photograph pure revelation to me, when you take away all that distracts and focus on the core message. My only reason to choose this or that photo for the contest was that it had to have some kind of intensity and storytelling, in photography it is called punctum, something that attracts your attention like a magnet and makes it memorable. I put the very strong concentration of energy in every shot, which is a reflection of my authenticity. Do with full power or even don’t try. That’s my rule and main secret. When I shoot, I focus all my creative energy, as if it is the last of my life. If to speak metaphorically, I try to puncture each person to their heart and soul, to leave imprint in their consciousness. I think that each photo has to have Punctum or its not a great artwork. I believe we are multidimensional, limitless creatures, and our souls usually struggle for freedom from the bodies because they feel and know our limitless potential and abundance of the existing world. Being an artist means to prove and create this reality to and for me.
