Aspects of Self

I have worked with still water most of my career, loving its power to transform and create mystery. Mostly, I have photographed nudes in nature. This series brings me back to an earlier interest in portraiture. Here the water reflection reveals rather than transforms. In one click of the shutter, two simultaneous aspects of a person are caught, sometimes seeming to invoke co-existing interior and exterior selves. We are all complex beings: the person we present to the world and the private self we hold within.
