When I shoot portraits of men or women for artistic purposes, I tend to focus on more figurative work. One of my first museum experience was an exhibition of old baroque paintings which included works of Caravaggio. I love using light and shadow on the human body similar to how those old baroque paintings used it to create dramatic images. For my submission I decided to focus on the male body and different forms of masculinity I've portrayed in my photos since gender identity has been quite a topic.
