The ambulantes of Bogotá have worked the sidewalks of La Candelaria and the Eje Ambiental for generations. There are more than 350,000 of them in the city — the majority women. Since 2015, successive municipal administrations have attempted to relocate and formalize them out of the streets they have always occupied, in the name of urban order. This series was built over seven years of proximity — returning to the same corners, through the same mornings, until the camera became part of the street. It is a document of the people the city depends on and is trying to erase.
