Fire Escapism

In the end of 2019 I visited New York. Almost instantly I started capturing façades with fire escapes that many residential buildings have in front. Not only are they very typical for New York, they appeared to come in many variations. To me this very simple (and limited) starting point offers a very nice challenge to play with rhythm, colour and building styles. The series is meant as an uplifting collection to escape from the everyday reality into an imaginary world of rhythm, color and creative joy.
