Lapland is the northern outskirt of Europe. Here the day can last six months. The trip was over seven thousand kilometers long and lasted an incomplete month. We circled the Baltic Sea from the east, crossed the Arctic Circle, and then started the road to the south: through Lofoten, Dalarna and Denmark.
How to record, in thousands of taken pictures, that unhurried driving and peaceful camping along the way or a few hours of wandering around lakes, through forests, cities and towns? Or maybe just a few dozen would be enough?
One of the attempts to answer is presented photographs: made with a simple, old camera on extremely long exposure times ranging from two to several hours - as much as our stay in a given place, meal or sleep lasted. As much as our journey lasted.
