Inside a mother

This is a short presentation of a wider project, called "Inside a mother" ("Dentro le madri" in Italian) created by me and a psychologist specialized in Maternity and Motherhood and it is composed of 33 images, collected by themes like birth, breastfeeding, emotions. The project was born with the idea that everywhere in the world maternity and motherhood are idealized. Every woman becoming a mother has, or better must, to be always happy. There is no space for sadness, tiredness, discouragement. The greatest problem in motherhood is that no dark corner is told, so that every woman finding herself in a difficult situation feels to be alone, to be the only one. The project wants to be a flag, an announcement, for every woman that nobody is alone. That every feeling is normal and there are no better or worse mothers. There must be no judgment, only support. Being a mother is already enough. It's already the best thing on Earth.
