A northern-born southerner, as she likes to describe herself, artist Dorotha Grace Lemeh’s foray into the digital world emerged from her own love of photography, collage, painting. The layered complexity & richness of symbols found in the visual history of art and the narrative quality present in both literature and film are the forums in which she uses to channel her interest in narrative and moving images. This said it remains Dorotha’s deep roots in the traditional method of artmaking that laid the groundwork for the artwork she creates, which fuels her passion for the physical and reflective properties of color, its’ symbolism, history, and descriptive qualities
