This is my best friend Lisl Steiner. She is 93. Really 92, but she puts herself one year older, always has. It's impossible to describe her, but if you look on youtube and put her name in, that helps.
She's pretty famous as photographers go, having spent her life as a photojournalist for Life and Time and freelancing through the 60's and 70's at the White House, her photographs of Martin Luther and Kennedy and Castro and Ellington and Kissinger and the like tell visually, some of the wonderful and interesting stories she recites. Her photography work is amazing, her catalog of work so extensive, I wouldn't even know how to begin with only 1500 characters.
She is hilarious, irreverent, generous, independent, adventurous, courageous and loving. There is not a moment that she is boring. She is gentle and wise and kind with her advice. She makes the entire town smile; she's probably made everyone she's ever met smile. She is called Lisl Baby, and she inspires me every day.
