Portraits of Andres Serrano

Images from my portrait session with artist/photographer, Andres Serrano, for his exhibition, Infamous. "Infamous is a photographic exploration of the long history of deeply rooted racism in the United States." -Fotografiska For this portrait I wanted to portray Andres as the distinguished and eccentric artist that he is, but to also reference the obscure and elusive atmosphere that surrounds him in a visual way. To achieve this I experimented with various in camera techniques to distort the photographs in unexpected ways.
