Covid-19 lockdown or not, I walk our twelve year old pitbull four times a day. With her leash in one hand and camera in the other, I started documenting the slow, new rhythms of a socially distant, masked (or not) life on our daily walks in and around our home in Walnut Creek, California. The “Pandemic Diary” project began March 20, 2020, the day after I was laid off from a job I gave twenty years. I was thrust into my own slow, new rhythm the same week California went into lockdown.
