THEMSELVES

"Themselves" is the outcome and merging of two of my accomplished photo projects, "Birds" and "Alone". These projects were formed between 2018 and 2020 and the final shape took place in spring 2021. By way of this minimalist and artistic form, I wanted to capture both well-known and unknown places I visited as a photographer. The whole project has 31 photos. "Themselves" is a black-and-white adventure of a small lone traveller and flocks of birds whose paths cross from time to time. These acquaintances keep each other quiet company throughout this story, albeit remotely, as not to feel alone on their long journeys. Their roaming took them across nine countries, the Azores included. These countries were Hungary, Morocco, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Tunisia, Slovakia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
