These objects were found on walks to work and brought back to the studio and photographed. In the 1990's I would photograph things hidden and revealed on a beach I could walk to by the El Nino storms striking the Southern California coast. After moving to the midwest in 2000, I began photographing botanical specimens that had fallen from trees collected on my walks to work. Walking. Looking. Gleaning. Photographing. These images are gifts that mark the ecological disasters I am leaving my descendants.
