The Upper Catskill's of New York State

My digital images are obtained in Delaware County, NY and the surrounding counties. Since the mid 19th Century, the farmers of the upper Catskills have been supplying farm produce especially dairy to New York City and surrounding areas. The scenic landscape of grazing fields for cattle, goats and sheep, corn fields, complex or simple farms and single buildings are each in varying states of function and repair. Each farm,building barn,or field--those in the best condition to the unusable- provide a rich source of photographic material. The collection of these images has been my project for the past five years and I plan to continue. I live in the area which provides easy access to specific destinations or just cruising the roads if the weather permits.
