Valparaiso, Chile 2000-2009

I started this project in 2000, after my Fulbright in 1999 to research street photography in Santiago, Chile. I found information of two American photographers who photographed the city of Valparaiso in the 19th century and early 20th century. Thus, began my 10 year journey wandering the streets of valpo photographing. Dogs were everywhere loose roaming the city no one bothered them they bothered no one. These are but a few from the many hills of Valparaiso part of a larger group of images “Horses and Dogs of Valpariso, Chile”.
