About my project:
«Has there anything changed since then?»
At the end of the Corona shutdown in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday, May 2nd, when all shops had their reopening, life has returned to its usual course. The photographs in this series were taken on Mariahilfer Strasse, the busiest shopping street in Vienna and probably the place where consumption and social encounters seem to combine seamlessly and naturally like nowhere else in Vienna.
Finally you meet again to queue for a t-shirt, an eco-soap or whatever. Finally free after being in forced isolation for over six weeks.
"I want my old life back", that's what many people said during the crisis. One has the impression that this wish has come true earlier than expected, which raises the question of how we individually deal with the crisis experience.
