A Family History

This essay sits at the space where family & history intersect. Immigrants, more than any one else, except for those living in a war zone, are familiar with that space. The work documents a vast immigration from Eastern Europe to the U.S. & a family's adaption to this new culture. I'm telling my story through the prism of contemporary visual art rather than using traditional documentary.
