This project came about in May 2019 while I was in London for a portrait shoot. As I had some to spare I bought a coffee and I sat in Victoria Station before heading to the shoot location. I had recently bought some variable ND filters to do some long exposure photography. I decided to test this while in the station with people walking past as I sat relaxing. After some trial and error with my exposure I took two shots that I was very very happy with and suddenly the words "The endless rush from here to elsewhere" came to me as I looked at my camera screen. I realised that the deliberate blur of the people walking past with stillness of the actual station was something I wanted to explore further.
With this series I want to capture the constant movement of people through places that remain still.
