I make photographs with an Infrared converted camera. My conceit is that I allow the viewer to reconsider their notions of what it is to see, and how they see and look at the world around them. The digital infrared image out-of-camera requires significant editing to realize what is there, not unlike a film negative. That allows a range of interpretation which I exploit without limits, or specific goals. Infrared images are always surreal, whether in subtle or gross ways. Choosing how to render a particular image is a process of exploration.
