These images reflect a unique vision that's simultaneously creepy, quirky, and sexy. The models faces are often obscured by custom-made masks and eyewear (items constructed or augmented by the photographer, often from found-objects). I enjoy the contrast between the models' usually handsome faces and bodies and the spikey or just generally odd prop items. Basically, I take a strange delight in augmenting or obscuring beautiful models with mostly hand-made masks, accessories and props that serve no rational function. Only one of the submitted photos includes the model's unobstructed face, and even there the vapor leaving his lips provides a distraction from the conventional handsomeness that would normally be the primary focus. The images are also reflections of my current experiences as a cancer patient and survivor: even in the most beautiful moments, there's something dark and threatening that overshadows the goodness.
