An integral part of everyday human life is waste. Waste production, the amount of which is constantly growing, is one of the acute environmental issues of consumer society.Food, floral waste, and its packaging became the material for creating this series of still lifes. Depicted waste in the photo came at the stage of retailing. I took food waste and its packaging from stores where I regularly shop for food. And I took floral waste and its packaging from the city market. This waste is not just goods that lost its consumer properties, it is a mixed waste that is toxic to the natural environment, due to the huge amount of packaging used. Waste sorting and recycling help to avoid their burial and incineration, which have a dangerous impact on the natural environment and people. It`s important to ensure a well-developed and global system of waste management and sustainable consumption, that reduces waste production.
