Horse Therapy by Black & White

The horses presented here represent a time of reconnection. For me, 2017 saw trauma and tragedy. Having spent time with horses as a child, I knew they had a powerful effect on the mind and soul. While each image is not in themselves perfect, they capture a powerful moment in my life. I spent hours watching, touching, and crying next to these beautiful creatures. They allowed me to find my feet and feel a sense of sanity as I slowly began to heal. While I have a number of images I could have entered, who I am as a photographer in recent years, began with them.
