"Symbolic Group” is an artistic effect exclusively for street photography. It is not created by the photographer. It doesn’t express the concept of photographer, but it strongly implies some messages. They are just "miracle structures" that naturally exist in daily life which was composed by subjects that seem to be coincidental.
"Symbolic Group" shows the coincidence in street photography, but it is not about interesting images, show off the skills or the complex composition. It neither creates visual interest nor visual stimulation, but it makes you focus on life-related theme.
At least two objects that emphasize each other in a photo, is a “Symbolic Group".
Take photo 02 as an example, the number plate and the kite produce symbolic hints due to their "same color" and "similar shape”. The number and the cartoon on the kite produce symbolic hints because of "same position”. The cartoon and the cow produce symbolic hints because of “similar things“ ; The shadow of the cow and the kite produce symbolic hints because of "similar shape".
When the "symbolic group" is full, it can make the whole picture alive, causing an explosion of infinite meaning. For example, in Photo 04, the only unlit street lamp and the cloud, and the lobster on a plate in Photo 09.
