I was taking photographs of these locations and I captured these people looking away from my lens. Each subject is focused on doing an activity that requires their full attention and I attempt to try and take an image like this every time I go to a new location. The first image is of a man in the middle of a carnival ride high suspended high above the ground, holding onto the ride, admiring how high up he is. The second image is of a man fishing at the beach, fighting the fish as well as the waves because he knows that if his attention is off a little bit he could lose his catch and the rod. The third and final image is of a couple embracing at a lake, completely in their own world ignoring everything else. The fourth are 3 friends sitting at the edge of a lake, they could be silent or talking but they are close together. The final image is of someone reading a book, with a forest in the background. They also are ignoring their surroundings but they are engrossed in a story they brought with them
