Every year, hundreds of millions of tourists flock to America’s National Parks from all corners of the world. America’s National Parks, along with various State Parks and National Monuments, draw these people into Earth’s natural and vast beauty through diverse landscapes across the country.
As a photographer and nature lover myself, I’ve spent much of my time off exploring Parks around the country with countless of my fellow tourists. There’s a beautiful contrast to having interesting, stereotypical tourists doing stereotypical tourist things in front of some of the world’s most popular screensavers.
Being street photography minded, I started “Tourists” as an ongoing project of capturing the joy of tourism through the eyes of what everyone truly sees before getting their selfie stick photo of a geyser. There’s no greater place to blend in and capture your peer’s true form than at a camera-riddled National Park.
We're all Tourists.
