This powerful visual journey delves deep into the mental health challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals around the world, transcending geographical boundaries to explore shared experiences of pain, resilience, and transformation.
Through the lens of artistry and storytelling, this project amplifies the voices of 13 brave individuals who have chosen to share their deeply personal stories.
These narratives function as different elements of a spectrum that traverse the variety of LGBTQ+ struggles, encompassing issues like anorexia, bulimia, drug dependency, self-harm, self-acceptance, and more. Each participant's story serves as a beacon, illuminating the hidden corners of these often stigmatized and hushed topics.
While Barcelona serves as the backdrop, the project's focus is unbounded, reflecting the universality of these issues. It delves into the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals across diverse cultures and countries, including those from Latin America who faced unique challenges during their coming out journey, as well as individuals grappling with racism like the Asian American participant.
It seeks to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health in LGBTQ+ community.
