"Lost in the Multiverse" explores scientific and metaphorical aspects of reflective surfaces. The photographs are taken through a translucent surface which brings together two spaces which can’t be seen at the same time : the space in front of the camera lens, and the space that is outside the lens’s reach, which is brought in through a reflection. The elements of both blend together, creating an illusion of something that could be, sometime, somewhere, a new territory, a new universe.
While looking at reflections from the point of view of theoretical physics, I see them as a representation of the impossible being possible. Particles that seem in their right place in our universe could assemble themselves in a completely different way in a parallel world, creating something visually very different from ours. By pushing the boundaries of post-production and creating almost homogenous images, I aim to create curiosity in the viewer who, when experiencing them in a small format, has a glimpse of the universe as through a keyhole, and in a big format has an immersion experience. The series insert itself into my global photography work, both on reflections and street photography.
