On The Same Side - The last of the Righteous Among the Nations

With our photography series we would like to shed light on the last living »Righteous Among the Nations«. Like the survivors of the Holocaust, those honored by the Yad Vashem Institute as »Righteous Among the Nations« are attestants of our times who should be seen and heard. We would like to give them a voice at a time when hatred, war in Ukraine among other places, anti-Semitism and other forms of misanthropy are once again on the rise in our society. The series is a contribution to how we can preserve humanity and dignity, show civil courage, take responsability and what we can learn from these »silent heroes« as role models for today and for the next generations. Especially when there will soon no longer be any contemporary witnesses anymore. The photos were taken in Poland in 2022 and 2023.
