This series 'Goonies' is a snapshot of work I have been photographing over the last 20 years.
It is a documentation of my time with the humans within the landscape of Goongerah in Victoria, which is located next to Errinundra National Park.
It is deep within the bush, around an hour from town up (or down) a long windy road.
The community leads quiet and thoughtful lives and are very resilient despite the isolated location.
Over the years I have met hundreds of people, a lot of whom come and go - a strong handful who stay.
The long termers are strong in body, character and mind.
They build their houses and grow their food.
When they talk to you, it's not with a phone in the hand - it's right in the eye.
Over time I have seen a few influential environmentalists pass on, however they have a legacy which will never be forgotten.
These 10 photographs have been taken in no particular order between 2016 - 2023.
