Bishwa Istema 2016

Bangladeshi Muslim gathered to join the Bishwa Istema, which is world's 3rd largest congregation after the Arabian gathering in Karbala and Hajj. This year first phase of three days Bishwa Istema started on Friday 8th of January 2016 on the Bank of the river Turag, Dhaka, Bangladesh. This year it was divided in to two sessions for 32 districts. First, part of Ijtema 2016 started with 16 districts in participation. Second, phase of Ijtema 2016 for 16 districts started on Friday 15th January and ends on Sunday 17th January. Rest of the 32 district's people can take part in Ijtema 2017. The main congregation took place on an empty land, which is nearly 160 acres (0.65 square km) where the participants camp for the next three days and gathering to pray and receive blessings from Allah .
