Dreams and the symbolism within them have commonality across cultures and dig deep into our emotional and communal experiences. In my photographic work I am drawn to quasi-abstract dream-states. Like the secrets we all carry within us, and the symbols that pervade our dreams, the tone and shape of the symbols and symbolism in photographs are intimately and immediately obvious even if the message itself is ineffable. My hope is that these scenes are more than aesthetically pleasing, and instead will elicit thought on the part of the viewer. The mysteries found there are obsessions that first intrigued me, and I am compelled to share.
