This is a collection I shot over the last few months as a part of a portfolio I'm creating as a part of a digital photography course I'm taking.
"You Can't See What We See" is a photo collection challenging viewers to reconsider their relationship with street photography and graffiti, encouraging them to see their neighborhoods as places of art discovery. I aim to showcase cityscapes that demonstrate how graffiti can enhance our world.
This collection was shot in Portland, OR. Portland is colorful and vibrant, as well as dingy and lived in. I find a beautiful harmony in that juxtaposition. I hope to show people that harmony and encourage them to think of the people who helped create it.
