Memento Mori

The series Memento Mori reflects the challenge of creating a beautiful and deeply spiritual still life. Confronted by artists through the centuries, the compelling and thoughtful arrangement of disparate objects is an exercise in composition and harmony. An avid collector I used objects from my studio and the gardens surrounding it to create images that would stand the passing of time. I can shuffle off this mortal coil knowing I have contributed to the timeless tradition in my own way.
