Cocooned in Her Thoughts is an original, experimental photographic work that explores the essence of vulnerability and our instinct to seek refuge within a protective energy. The muse—nude, curled into herself, and suspended in water—embodies retreat and self-preservation. Her pose evokes the safety of a cocoon, while the aged, recycled wooden frame becomes both boundary and shelter, amplifying the atmosphere of enclosure and introspection. With her eyes gently closed and her expression serene, she appears to drift inward—into a space where the outside world dissolves and only the internal remains. Her softly floating hair adds a dreamlike quality, heightening the sense of stillness and surrender. The framed version shown here reflects how I envision my work to exist: singular, tactile, and complete. I prefer to present my pieces as one-of-a-kind originals—each framed and finished by hand, ensuring that even in print form, the work retains its authenticity and individuality. It is a meditation on stillness, protection, and the quiet strength found in vulnerability.
