Sons of the sea - Figli del Mare

Questo progetto nasce all’interno di un amore più grande; una ricerca più ampia dedicata al mare. In questa serie ho sentito la necessità di raccontare come, per molte zone del mondo, il mare non sia soltanto un bel paesaggio o un luogo dove passare momenti di svago, ma bensì una presenza viva. Un insegnante, un educatore, un compagno di gioco, una risorsa per vivere. Il mare diventa un elemento formativo. Non solo una bella distesa blu da contemplare, ma una forza che richiede reverenza e rispetto. Il mare è relazione. É eredità. É vita. 〰️ This project grows out of a deeper love — a wider exploration devoted to the sea. In this series, I felt compelled to tell how, for many villages, the sea is not simply a beautiful view or a place for leisure, but a living presence that breathes alongside those who inhabit it. It is a teacher long before words are understood. An educator of patience and resilience. A childhood playmate. A source of sustenance and dignity. Here, the sea is not a distant horizon to admire. It is a force that shapes gestures, bodies, and destinies. It demands reverence. It teaches respect. The sea is relationship. It is inheritance. It is life.
