Statement
Between Worlds is a visual exploration of the liminal spaces that define our global urban experience. Spanning the transit hubs and glass-bound corridors of NYC, Istanbul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Venice, and Naples, this series captures the fleeting moments when the private self intersects with the public sphere.
Utilizing a "frame-within-a-frame" aesthetic, these images leverage reflections and architectural divides to create layered realities. The subjects—commuters on ferries, travelers in subway cars, and vendors in kiosks—exist in a state of transit, caught between departure and arrival. By collapsing the distance between these diverse cities, the project highlights a universal human condition: the quiet, introspective solitude we maintain while moving through a world that is constantly overlapping and reflected back at us.
