Shot instinctively on an iPhone, each image catches a moment of quiet observation: the decorative figure mirroring the living tradition beneath, the guard standing still in Japan’s fastest world, the rain-soaked umbrella revealing a hidden world beyond, a lantern holding its ground while modern life moves past, and two women — one sees another while I see them. Japan moves with precision and purpose. These images live in the spaces where it pauses.
