Urban Photography / Urban Traces

Urban Traces is a black-and-white photography project that records the presence of human beings as they briefly appear and disappear within urban spaces, along with the traces they leave behind. The city is a place where countless people move, pass through, and stay for a while. Yet within it, the presence of each individual is brief and temporary. The walls, passages, stairways, alleys, light, and shadows of architecture remain in place for a long time, while people merely pass through them for a moment. This project views the city not simply as a background, but as a stage where human movement and emotion briefly pass through. Through people revealed in strong light, shadows stretching across the floor, small figures moving through structures, and backs walking through old alleys, I seek to express anonymity, solitude, movement, and the traces of existence within the city.
