Paran: A blind village in Peru

Paran, 4 hours from Lima, a town that is in the mountains, a rural community of 360 people, of which about 60 men suffer from hereditary blindness. Retinitis pigmentosa, a progressive disease of vision loss from outside to inside. a phenomenon known as tunnel vision. The disease that has no cure, manifested in boys from age 7, who see with difficulty in the day and at night almost nothing. There are five generations who are blind by retinitis pigmentosa. This town was founded by seven families who are brought disease. In the midst of the Andes at 3000 meters high, 75% of people do not see.
