A tale of two cities

This is a visual diary of my journey between Jakarta and Yogiakarta, the two most visited cities in the island of Java, Indonesia. My photographs merely record my impressions of a muslim country which in many ways has opened to Occident but still keeps its own identity. The fast pace of the city of Jakarta with its flashy shoppings centers and modern skyscrapers feels very different to the buzzy but perhaps more traditional Yogiakarta.
