Live in ruins

In December of 1980 Iraq attacked to Iran and surrounded Khoramshahr firstly. Khoramshahr is a city in south west of Iran which is coterminous with Iran. This city come to occupy by Iran Army after 34 days popular resistance. But In May 1982 the city released by Iranian Army. I was born in Khoramshar before Islamic Revolution in Iran 1978. The city was bride of Persian Gulf’s cities in that times! Now What I remember of khoramshar is some of family photos which remains from that times! My maternal family that are among Native Arabs in Khramshar during war forced to leave the city and live in other cities of Iran. After the war they returned to their city to get back their home. in my first journey to my birthplace in Khoramshahr after 25 years of war I see the city’s people in Auto Portraits. The city was called symbol of popular resistance in Iran. But still the city has many signs of the war and the people lives in ruins of the war.
