Corpus et Spiritus

The series “Corpus et Spiritus” is an imagistic research through questions, such as: what body belongs to us and to which we belong? Which body is this and from which matter is composed, how it presents itself to the objective and subjective worlds?, what signs and archetypes are we communicating and living within the ambit of the collective and individual unconscious?. From this and the interaction with human and nonhuman bodies and other objects, the photographs were being constructed with influences of surrealist aesthetics. The portraits of the series Bodies and Spirits, seeks to lead reflection on an existence of a set of bodies (religious body, libidinous body, social body, virtual body, sexual body ...) and how they relate in an increasingly more Chaotic world, where relations seem to become not only ephemeral, but of an endless artificial plasticity. Apart from aesthetics, such a series, seeks to place itself politically, before an oppressive and conservative society. Versão em português: A série Corpos e Espíritos é uma pesquisa imagética através de questionamentos, tais como: qual o corpo que nos pertence e ao qual nós pertencemos? que corpo é esse e de qual matéria é composto?, como o mesmo se apresenta aos mundos objetivos e subjetivos?, quais signos e arquétipos estamos comunicando e vivendo no âmbito do inconsciente coletivo e individual?. A partir disso e da interação com corpos humanos e não humanos e outros objetos, as fotografias foram sendo construídas com influências da estética surrealista. Os retratos da série Corpos e Espíritos, busca conduzir à reflexão sobre a existência de um conjunto de corpos (corpo religioso, corpo libidinoso, corpo social, corpo virtual, corpo sexual...) e como os mesmos se relacionam num mundo cada vez mais caótico, onde as relações parecem se tornar não apenas efêmeras, mas de uma plasticidade artificial sem fim. Para além de esteticismos, tal série, pretende se colocar de forma política, perante uma sociedade opressora e conservadora.
