Australian Open of Surf - portrait series

Photographing the Australian Open of Surf for me it is not only the amazing maneuvers they do on the water, I want also to show their faces so people can relate and recognize them. I have just seconds to achieve a good portrait as they just passed by my side or I follow for them on the beach while going their warm up sessions. It is easier on the first days of the competition but this year weather was not very helpful. Nevertheless I achieve some nice portraits specially the one from last year finalist Leonardo Fioravanti.
