At the OJAI RAPTOR CENTER, Wonder is the resident albino Turkey Vulture.
From their site: "Wonder came to us from the Wings of Wonder rehabilitation center in Michigan in 2012. Wonder was found on the side of the road freezing and starving. As a result of his albinism he has poor eyesight and cannot be released.
Turkey Vultures do not use the talons on their feet to hunt so technically they are not raptors but they do get lumped into the bird of prey group because they feed on carrion. Turkey Vultures live in big social groups known as vulture 'communities.' "
